Welcome to my website! I’ve been publishing for a little over six years, but somehow the idea of having a website of my own never really occurred to me. I recently attended a meeting with WisRWA (the Wisconsin chapter of the Romance Writers of America – I’m new but loving every minute of it!) that talked about the important of a website, so here I am!
A little about myself… I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, starting with really embarrassing stories in elementary school. In high school I progressed to band fanfiction and wrote pretty extensively on LiveJournal. At the time, I was sure I was going to be a Hollywood director and screenwriter, but I loved interacting with other fanfiction writers. Eventually my love of music led me to my current publisher (more on that next time), and I’ve been publishing with Less Than Three Press since the year I graduated high school. At that point, I realized the glamorous Hollywood life was not in the cards for me but writing was.
LTT is an exclusively LGBT/spectrum publisher (if they can be considered “exclusive” when they publish stories in literally every aspect of the spectrum), so all my published works to date have fallen into this genre, most often gay romance. The series I’m currently working on pushes the definitions and boundaries of sexuality a little, and it’s something I’m incredibly excited for. I believe it has the potential to move beyond “gay romance” and have a more mainstream feel, without selling my characters short.
Outside of writing, I am incredibly close to my family where I am the oldest of four daughters. I live with my boyfriend of five years and our fur baby, a pit bull named Molly. I love music, especially pop and pop-punk-alternative, and am a big movie/book nerd. As such, I’m a lover of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Stargate Atlantis, Torchwood, The Big Bang Theory… the list goes on and on. My favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, Sherryl Woods, and Sherrilyn Kenyon. I also love crafting of all kinds and baking.
Feel free to take a look around and contact me with any of your thoughts or questions. Hopefully I’ll see you back here soon!
